Jim is survived by Delores (Vignaroli) Dice, his loving wife of 48 years his daughters, Kathy Leto of Grimes, Iowa, and Cheri (Rick) Ernzen of Keller, Texas son Robert (Bobby) Dice of Des Moines, Iowa step daughter Connie (John) Murphy of Loch Lloyd, Missouri, step son Greg (Kelly) Mordini of Granby, Colorado sister, Mary (Dan) Aldrich of Phoenix, Arizona and brother Jack (Rosalie) Dice of Moraga, CA. Jim loved boating and spending the last week of June at Lake Okoboji, as well as the time they lived at Lake Panorama, Iowa. Jim was also a member of the Hibernian Club and proud of his Irish heritage. Jim was also active in the Knights of Columbus he served as the Grand Knight, and earned the rank of 4th Degree Knight. Jim was active in the Catholic Church, whether singing in his pew or singing as a member of the Sacred Heart Choir. He enjoyed sharing his love and knowledge with the general public. Kung Fu Tap & Taco in Des Moines, Iowa is hosting a little get-together at their place including a taco eating contest, Dice Magazine merchandise. After formally retiring in 1995, Jim spent almost the next two decades working part time as a Beer Sampler, promoting different products at local grocery stores. Jim spent his career in the Beer business early on he worked for several breweries, and spent the majority of his career promoting Heineken for Van Munching throughout Iowa and Nebraska. Jim was born August 22, 1932, in Omaha, NE, to Richard and Elizabeth (Held) Dice. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, April 13, 2018, at St. Richard James Dice, known to everyone as “Jim”, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018, at the age of 85.
